8 Real Estate Photography tips to save you money
For you to help me to take the best possible photos of your house and property, I’ve created a list of tips. These tips can go along way to make the day a success and save you money, as up to half the time can be spent on making rooms look neater and simpler, and we unfortunately have to charge for that time:
House – Your house should be as presentable and neat as possible. If possible the house, including the windows should be cleaned on the day of the shoot.
Kitchen – Remove all fridge magnets and notes etc. Please try to hide the rubbish bin, drying racks, sponges and cleaning materials and any access clutter.
Bedrooms – We appreciate well-made beds and working lights with matching lightbulbs. Having different lightbulbs, eg warm and white, don’t look good together. Please clean the mirrors and pack away any clutter.
Bathrooms – Please clean the mirrors and hide the toilet paper, bins and all toiletries and accessories. You can either hang the towels or stack them away.
Windows – All windows must please be spotless, every smudge and mark show up on photos. It’s almost impossible to remove smudges and marks in post-processing, depending on the background.
Property and Garden – If possible have a neatly cut green lawn, cleaned flowerbeds and paving, pack away your garden equipment, buckets and garden hoses.
Pool – Try to have your pool as clear blue as possible, ideally without Kreepy Krauly hose in it.
Pets – Please try to keep your pets out of the way, as they can knock over the tripod or get into the shots.
Feel free to get in touch with me if you need any help with the above tips. I’m looking forward to hearing from you and shooting your house.
